Forgive me for I have neglected my blog for the last month! Although I'm not entirely apologetic as I just came back from a holiday in sunny California where I enjoyed the sunshine of course, studio tours, musicals, NBA games, beaches and indulging in A LOT of local foods, cocktails and wines. But I shall go into more details about my trip on a separate post (Check out my Instagram for some snap shots!). For now I'm going to try and keep it short sorry - the jet lag is real! Unfortunately, as much as one wants to deny it, jet lag definitely hits you harder as you get older!
Through this photo story I wanted to show case a look which in its simplicity can offer slight drama, making it a statement piece! This 100% silk dress by Scanlan Theodore offers just that with its comfortable slip on, no zipper style, its eye-catching floral print and it's cocoon sleeves. My favourite part is it has pockets!! (Hidden gems get me all the time!) To enhance the colour of this dress and to compliment the fun and flirty I chose to pair the dress with white strapped sandals with a silver-toned corrugated flared heel. To match the silver tones I finished the look with these gorgeous 'horseshoe' inspired earrings by Sydney brand Mezi. ADORE! A horseshoe is a symbol which is meant to bring good luck and fortune! ADORE even more!

As well as celebrating a new year, I'm also celebrating my one year anniversary of WEARIT.BEME! Its been exactly one year today (Jan 10th) since I joined the blogoshpere! I can't believe it's been a year already, it's gone by so fast...when you're having fun right! It's been an amazing ride so far, one I've enjoyed thoroughly and will continue to enjoy!
